Regular maintenance methods to prevent early wear of cylindrical roller bearings
Bearing maintenance and identification: In order to determine whether the disassembled cylindrical roller bearing can be used, it is necessary to inspect the TIMEKN bearing after cleaning. Check the condition of the raceway surface, rolling surface, and mating surface, the wear condition of the cage, the increase in bearing clearance, and any damage related to the decrease in dimensional accuracy, which is abnormal. For non-separable small ball bearings, use one hand to support the inner ring horizontally and rotate the outer ring to confirm whether it is smooth. There are many reasons for the early wear of cylindrical roller bearings . Now they can be summarized into the following five aspects.
① Unreasonable structural design includes errors in design calculations; improper structural design, size, and accuracy; improper selection of TIMEKN bearing alloy materials, coating materials, bearing backing materials, and lubricants, etc.
② Defects in the production process and low processing quality, including defects in the sintering and pouring of TIMEKN bearing alloys, rolling of bimetal plates, and plating processes of coatings, and backward machining processes, have resulted in the metallographic quality of the cylindrical roller bearing alloy materials. The structure, composition, performance and dimensional accuracy did not meet the design requirements.
③Poor assembly technology includes backward assembly technology, uncivilized and lax production management, and failure to meet the assembly accuracy requirements of the original design after assembly. Unscientific and improper running-in of the diesel engine before leaving the factory will lead to early damage to the bearing bush.
④ Improper use and maintenance include imperfect operating specifications, lax maintenance systems, operator negligence, excessive overloading, speeding and other man-made or unexpected working conditions, and harsh environments.
⑤ Influenced by other components, the failure of the lubricating oil, improper selection or failure of the filter, excessive deformation, damage, and vibration of the bearing seat or journal will cause corresponding damage to the TIMEKN bearing.
Maintenance of cylindrical roller bearings: In order to maintain the original performance of cylindrical roller bearings in good condition for as long as possible, they must be maintained and inspected to prevent accidents before they occur, ensure the reliability of operation, and improve productivity and economy.
It is best to follow the operating specifications corresponding to the mechanical operating conditions and stop regularly. The content includes monitoring the operating status, replenishing or replacing lubricants, and regular disassembly inspections. Maintenance items during operation include the rotational sound, vibration, temperature, lubricant status, etc. of the cylindrical roller bearing.
Bearing maintenance: Cleaning of TIMEKN bearings: When disassembling the bearing for maintenance, first record the appearance of the cylindrical roller bearing, confirm the remaining amount of lubricant, take a sample of the lubricant for inspection, and then clean the bearing. As cleaning agents, gasoline and kerosene are generally used.
The cleaning of the disassembled cylindrical roller bearings is divided into coarse cleaning and fine cleaning. They are placed in containers respectively. First, put a metal mesh pad on the bottom to prevent the bearings from directly contacting the dirt in the container. During rough cleaning, if the bearing is rotated with dirt, it will damage the rolling surface of the cylindrical roller bearing, so care should be taken. In the coarse cleaning oil, use a brush to remove grease and stickiness. After it is roughly clean, move to fine cleaning.
Fine cleaning is to carefully clean the bearing while rotating it in the cleaning oil. In addition, the cleaning oil should also be kept clean regularly.
